MBoSC/Tread Bikes SDSF Flow Trail Volunteer Work Day Recap
A record 53 volunteers showed up on a gorgeous morning this past Saturday January 10 to work on the flow trail at Soquel Demonstration State Forest (SDSF). Fueled by coffee and breakfast goodies provided by Whole Foods, crews headed out to the brand new Specialized Bicycles-sponsored segment 2 to do finishing work on 5 glorious berms previously prepped by flow trail staff. With such an amazing turnout of inspired volunteers, all 5 berms were completed—and thoroughly tested of course ;-) Massive thanks to the volunteers who came out to make this work day a whopping success!

Tread Bikes of Campbell stepped up to serve as the main sponsor of the day, providing volunteers with delicious lunches, post-workday refreshments, Tread socks for all and coveted raffle items that included gift certificates for a fork overhaul and shock overhaul. Adventure Sports Journal sponsored the volunteer raffle itself, providing winners with an array of swag which included an Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO) hammock, Platypus portable water filtration system, Crazy Creek camp chairs and more. Summit Store contributed as usual by offering a deep discount on lunch.

Massive thanks to the volunteers and sponsors who came together to make Saturday’s work day such a whopping success, plus a shout of appreciation to SDSF land manager California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE).
