Skills and Education Clinic and Beginner Ride
Dawn Weathersbee
Hey beginners! Here´s an opportunity to get some basic skills and experience the joys and pains of mountain biking with a group of your inexperienced peers. We will be covering the basics of riding: climbing, descending, turning, and negotiating mountain biking´s three "R"sRoots, Rocks and Ruts. We will also discuss trail courtesy and environmental awareness.

What to Bring:
Helmet! We will not let you ride without one. Also bring your bike in good working order, clothes you can ride in, water, and an energy food of your choice, in case you get hungry. Please be aware that there is poison oak along the trail, so take preventative measures if you´re allergic.

Where to go:
Wilder Ranch State Park, just off Highway One, 1.5 miles north of Western Drive. We´ll meet in the main parking lot.

When to be there:
Saturday, August 23rd, 1997. Skills clinic begins at 10:00 am; we´ll go out and practice our new moves at 11:00 am; the ride will last approximately two hours, clinic and ride about three hours.
