Time: 10:00 am
We would like to welcome beginner or slower mountain bikers on our monthly slow ride every 4th Saturday of the month. This ride will be at a more leisurely pace. We may not cover as many miles but it will be a beginner friendly ride. There will probably be an intermediate/advanced group for the regulars and fast people as well. The slow ride is beginner friendly but does require fitness and controlled off-road bike handling skills. at 10:00 am - Ride @ WilderRide @ Wilder
Time: 10:00 am
We meet every Saturday at 10am, weather permitting, for a ride starting at Wilder Ranch State Park. at 10:00 am

The Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival is a benefit towards a permanent bike park in Aptos. The existing Post Office Jump Park and the Epicenter Pump Track are on land which is designated for the expansion of the Aptos Village. As part of the project, an “active recreational use area” (a.k.a bike park) will be developed from land donated by the landowner (Barry Swenson Builders). The County of Santa Cruz is Responsible for the design, financing and construction of the park and operational and maintenance costs.
We have a number of raffles including a Trek Remedy 8, GoPro Hero HD Camera Package, Black Market Jump Bike, Felt/Troy Lee Cruiser, Kuat NV Bike Rack and plenty of other items. You can pre-buy your raffle tickets online at the above links.
We hope to raise funds to donate to the County for the design and construction of the proposed permanent bike park. Construction of the new Aptos Village may begin late 2011 or early 2012. The Epicenter Pump Track and the Post Office Jumps as we know it today will be gone. The Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival may be the last big celebration of mountain biking on this property until the new bike park is completed.
These items will be featured at the Expo/Vendor area at the Festival but you may buy raffle tickets online with WePay until April 8th.
Please support the mountain biking/dirt jumping/pumping community by donating generously to this cause. You may be rewarded for your good karma by winning some shiny new things of pure bike lust.
This is a grass roots event put on by volunteers to celebrate the mountain biking in Santa Cruz County. We have all worked really hard to put this together and I hope you will come and join us!
