Volunteer involvement was crucial to the construction of the SDSF Flow Trail. For the 2014/15 winter build season, trail work days were held twice a month and welcomed volunteers of all ages and abilities. An average of about 50 people showed up to the build days, rain or shine. Specially trained crew leaders taught trail building techniques, making confident trail builders out of numerous riders and their families. Volunteer work days run from 8:45 – 3:30 and included breakfast treats courtesy Whole Foods Market, lunch from Summit Store provided by that day’s hospitality sponsor, post-work brew from Ninkasi Brewing, and a generous volunteer raffle compliments of Adventure Sports Journal.
