Mountain Bikers are a very positive influence in the forest areas. We never litter or are involved in any irresponsible or illegal activities. MTN Bikers are the best patrol force for the forest always on the lookout for any thing that would threaten or damage the natural habitat and we are free.

I don't think I can sign the petition. There is not a lot of evidence that the proposed trail is actually going to solve the camping and drug problems. I doubt those are the main reasons that the biking community supports the path.

A bicycle is the cleanest mode of transportation that we have next to walking. Yet they have been banned from National Forests, most State Parks and Wilderness areas. A well designed trail with Multi-Use taken into account works in many progressive thinking communities. Prescott Az. is a great example of a community that does not exclude a portion of their population because they choose to ride a bike. Sedona AZ. Check them out as well.
The Pogonip MUT would be a gem to the local community. The "whole" community.

Our local high school composite cross country mountain biking team also supports multi-use trails. We teach IMBA trail rules and learn how to share the trails with all users. This year our team will volunteer time to help maintain the trails we all use. What great recreation we have for everyone to enjoy.
