Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) is an organization of local riders who are committed to promoting and expanding legitimate mountain bike access in Santa Cruz County. MBoSC members are recreational riders, trail builders, racers, bike industry types and general mountain bike nuts.

As an International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA) chapter and 501(c)(3) non-profit , we work to foster responsible mountain bike recreation and to expand sustainable trail access. MBoSC enriches the local mountain bike community through trail-building, our mountain bike festival, our enduro race, club rides, social events, and cooperation with other trail user groups and local land managers.

Founded in 1997 to raise money towards the purchase of Gray Whale Ranch that was added to Wilder Ranch State Park, MBoSC boasts an impressive number of accomplishments and current projects.

MBoSC consists of over 700 members (and counting!) and a board of directors made up of dedicated volunteers and trail staff. The organization has raised over $190,000 since 2009—funds generated through membership dues, industry donations, revenue from our events, and various fundraising campaigns. These funds go almost entirely into MBoSC’s advocacy and trail building efforts as the club’s operating overhead is less than 6% of revenues.
