Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) is a non-profit mountain bike advocacy organization and a chapter of the International Mountain Bike Association (IMBA).
MBoSC works to promote mountain bike recreation and to expand sustainable trail access in the Santa Cruz area. Our organization enriches the local mountain bike community through trail building, group rides, events and cooperation with local land managers and other trail user groups.
Mountain biking promotes Community, Opportunity, Achievement and Sustainability. Help us bring mountain biking into the mainstream of Santa Cruz living and create more authorized trail access.

Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz raised over $50,000 dollars during this fundraiser, every cent of which will be put towards trail development in Santa Cruz County. These funds will go towards funding new trails, building pump tracks, and maintaining existing trails in our county. John wasn’t the only winner, all trail users will benefit from this campaign!

For the first time in over 20 years, hundreds of cycling enthusiasts gathered for a mountain bike race at Wilder Ranch State Park on Saturday, May 21st.
About the Race
The race course wrapped it’s way through the best singletrack in Wilder Ranch, overlooking the ocean, long meadows, and redwood studded canyons. Two hundred and fifty racers took on the 11-mile cross country course, which included 1500 ft of elevation gain each lap. Continue reading

MBoSC and the city of Santa Cruz are proud to announce plans for a new pump track at Harvey West Park!
A pump track is a continuous loop of rollers and berms designed to help any rider build bike-handling, balance and coordination skills for safe and controlled trail riding. Continue reading
Last Saturday over 40 volunteers showed up to Wilder Ranch to help MBoSC and California State Parks put the final touches on the Enchanted Loop Reroute and Restoration Project. Volunteers endured a bit of rain to finish the decommissioning of the old Enchanted Trail alignment which has been replaced by a newly constructed sustainable route.

Completion of this project marks the first time State Parks and MBoSC have partnered on a project of this magnitude. The State Park’s trail crew was instrumental in the success of this project.We are proud of this success and look forward to collaborating with State Parks on more trail projects in the future.
