Mountain biking is experiencing explosive growth in Santa Cruz and Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC) wants to foster that growth. MBoSC is a 501c(3) non-profit that is committed to promoting sustainable trails in Santa Cruz County. In order to fulfill our mission we need to hear from you what you would like to see us engaged in.

Please fill out the survey – – so that we can learn more about your priorities for mountain biking in Santa Cruz County. We will not share your personal information with anyone else, any information disclosed will be used only for MBoSC’s research in order to create the trails that you want!

In the last 14 months we have opened two new trails, the first new legal singletrack in Santa Cruz in over 12 years! With our recent successes a ton of new opportunity has opened up on the BLM Managed Coast Dairies property and the San Vicente Redwoods (formerly the CEMEX lands). Add to that requests from the City of Santa Cruz for another pump track (after our successful support of the Westside Pump Park that opened November 2013) and long simmering opportunities like the Monterey Bay Sanctuary Rail Trail and we’ve got a bunch of decisions to make! Now you can place your vote on what kind of trails and what opportunities you think MBoSC should support, just complete our survey here.

Your engagement doesn’t have to end after you complete the survey though, we are also soliciting help in putting together teams to implement your dream mountain biking town’s trails. At the end of the questionnaire we ask if you would like to volunteer your time to support one of our new initiatives. If you’re looking to learn more about these opportunities we’d like to invite you to the MBoSC recruitment party hosted by BRG Sports (formerly Easton/Bell) in mid-August. For more detail simply complete the survey and fill in the box, we’ll get you more detail from there.

Now do yourself a favor, throw your leg over your bike this week and savor these amazing trails that we call home!
