The next weekend work session will be on Saturday June 2nd, which also happens to be National Trails Day. Come show your support for trail based recreation and help build the first new bike legal trail in the county since 1999. We are still working out the details but we hope to have lunch provided and have some raffle prizes as well.
Remember, the more people that volunteer, the faster the trail will get built. Many hands make light work. If you’d like to help but either don’t have the time, or get poison oak real bad, there are other ways to help. Back in February we applied for a $10,000 grant from Bikes Belong. Unfortunately, we did not receive the grant which means we still need to raise money for this project. You can make a donation online to help out. We hope to raise another $10,000 – $15,000 to cover costs for tools, lumber for the 2 bridges and 2 puncheons, and conservation crews for chainsaw work and poison oak thicket removal. We will also need some help with logistics for the June 2nd workday, contact email@example.com if interested.
Thank you once again for all your help and support of the Pogonip multi-use trail!
