MBOSC at the SF Bike Expo

A bunch of MBOSC volunteers went to the SF Bike Expo last weekend to promote the 2012 Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival. The Expo was fun and we were impressed with the quality of the event. We are inspired by these grass roots efforts which have grown into a part of the NorCal bike culture.

We had quite a lot of traffic at our booth. It included a prize wheel, a big TV looping clips from last years festival and featured some very good looking booth people. 😉

We would like to thank all our good looking volunteers for helping with the booth. A big shout out to Dave “Shuttle” Smith for transporting folks from Santa Cruz to San Francisco.

The 2012 Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival will be April 14-15, 2012 in Aptos Village. The events, layout and format will be similar to last year but we hope to give it a lot more polish. We are in the midst of planning the event and building the organization. This is a grass roots community festival and are looking for sponsors and volunteers. Please contact us if you want to be involved.

The Santa Cruz Mountain Bike Festival is the premier mountain bike event in Santa Cruz County. SCMBF has a simple goal – to celebrate mountain biking in Santa Cruz County. We bring world class riders together to participate in dirt events and showcase Santa Cruz County as a world class mountain biking destination and vibrant cycling industry.

One Response to MBOSC at the SF Bike Expo

This being my hometown, I would love to support this festival. I have done every festival out there (Santa Cruz MTB Festival 2011, Exterra at Wilder, Shiney Side Up, Biketoberfest, Pedalfest, SF Expo), would have to say, though small, yours was a great festival. Keep me posted on anything with your organization, I will sponser again!!
